caramacs again?

Looking for something other or than the usual chocolate covered macadamia nuts to take the folks at home. Costco has some decent possibilities. Does anyone have any really tasty favorites for edible souvenirs?

caramacs again?

If only shave ice would make the trip home, I%26#39;d have some every day!

caramacs again?

I should have added this to my first post...

We liked just going to the grocery store and checking out all of the goodies that are made on the island like jam, coffee, etc. If you look in the spice isle, you should be able to find some sea salt which was harvested at the salt ponds - one of the brands we saw was even orange/red in color and has ';clay'; listed as an ingredient. Now you can%26#39;t get any more Kauai than that! Um, unless maybe you bring home a ';free range'; chicken : )

Small bags of wasabi dusted dried peas or ginger crackers are fun among a host of interesting island specialties...found in the Asian sections of local markets as well as Walmart.

I like the mac nuts with various flavors - sour cream and onion, wasabi, coffee glazed...

We don%26#39;t bring the Chocolate covered macadamia nuts, but like the Kona Coffee flavor cans to bring back. Also bags of coffee. It%26#39;s rich and good, and usually enjoyed by all.

We bring back Kona coffee, guava preserves from the Guava Kai and occassionally some of the asian snacks from the grocery stores.

We like mac nut brittle - you can get it at Walmart.

I remember bringing back small cans of different flavored mac nuts to some of my coworkers, only to have one of them say ';oh, I saw these at CostPlus World Market last week';! So much for unique, hard to find souvenirs...

DH gave me chocolate covered mac nuts (purchased at our neighborhood Safeway) for V-day... that%26#39;s love!

To a 50+ Brit like me Caramac is a thin white chocolate bar with a slightly odd taste that went out of production about 25 years ago :)

Couldn%26#39;t understand why there was Hawaii forum about them!

Now of course I just fancy one...............

I finally found the Lilikoi factory in Waimea and like to bring back lilikoi extract so I can make my own lilikoi pie here at home.

Kauai Kookies. Stop at their little outlet in Hanapepe or pick some up at Walmart. I prefer to make my own delicacies with the macnuts and then when everyone has put on 10 pounds, I stop making the stuff. Bring back salad dressings and other jarred stuff.
