I am curious if it is better to do the drive to Hana on a Thursday or a Saturday. I have heard that there is rush hour during the week, but I am not sure if more people in general will be doing this drive on the weekend since they are off of work. Any advice would be much appreciated!!!
Better to do the drive to Hana on a weekday or weekend?We drove to Hana on a saturday and it was a perfect choice, because there was much less traffic. The locals do not have to go to work then and as most tourists fly in/out of Maui at the weekends there are less people doing this route on a Saturday.
We left West Maui at 6.30am and passed Paia at 7am. There were hardly any other cars on the road and so we had a very nice and hasslefree trip to Hana.
