Anyone familiar with this property and its surroundings? It is located in Kilauea.

Appreciate any insight,

Brad

Brad,

I sent you a PM... from what I understand from the owners, they have not been renting it for long, so I don%26#39;t know how many people on here have actually stayed there. I can%26#39;t say enough good about the place. Let me know what you are looking for in a place to rent, and I will do my best to let you know if this place would be something you would like.

The property itself is off the main highway just before Kilauea (2 minutes) and down a paved road almost at the end. The neighborhood is quiet and their is a lady that grows orchids across the street. People have horses at the beginning of the street. All the houses are spaced out and not crowded. If you are looking for privacy and don%26#39;t need to stay right on the water, but close, this would be a good place. We found we were not at the house that much except late afternoon/evening and found it very relaxing. Let me know if you have anymore questions or want pictures.

I am staying here in August. I would love to know what you or anyone else thought. It looks sweet and I have heard good things about staying in the northern part of the island.

BTW: Anyone know any good excursions on Kauai?

There are many threads about activities on the island. You can find them in the search box. I always suggest a boat excursion out of Hanalei Bay, if after May, Zipline at Princeville Ranch, ATV rides in Koloa, snorkeling at Ke%26#39;e and since you are so close by see the Lighthouse for sure. The North Shore offers so many wonderful sights and sounds. Get a guide book like Ultimate Kauai Guidebook and read up before you go.
