How does a couple go swimming/snorkeling and leave their personal items?
I thought, oh we will lock them in the car.
Then I keep reading...
Don%26#39;t leave anything in the car.
So where do you put your stuff?

beach theft
Leave your things in the trunk so no one can see. Even towels. I know what you mean though, car keys, money, credit cards, etc? I use one of those, supposedly waterproof small containers. But be sure and use a plastic bag with a zip also, cause the containers are not 100% waterproof.
This also goes for when you are shopping. Do not leave shopping bags in back seat of car where it can be seen. Always put things in trunk.
Best to be sure than sorry. Most likely nothing will happen, especially if you are careful.
beach theft
Don%26#39;t leave anything in your trunk. Out of sight is not out of mind, theives will break in just to see if there is anything there.
Get an Aqua Pak or some other waterproof plastic bag/pouch to put your cash, credit cards etc in then take it with you into the water.
hi
i got my husband some swim trunks last year for our trip and they came with this great little double zipped pouch when we wanted to go to beach he just put the room key and a little cash in it and put it in the pocket of his swim trunks that buttoned up it kept everything dry we also got acheap disposable camera to bring down to the beach so we did%26#39;nt have to worry about our digital.
aloh amarie
We left things in our trunk, but we put them in the trunk before we got to that location. We didn%26#39;t pull into the parking lot, open the trunk, put a bunch of valuable stuff in there, etc. while people could watch us.
We also didn%26#39;t park in remote locations where no one would be around. Busier parking lots are less attractive to thieves than remote, isolated ones.
When we went to Hanauma Bay we used their lock boxes for my husband%26#39;s wallet, the car keys, etc. We also used one of the waterproof packs for our camera when we were around water. We bought the cheap disposable waterproof cameras for use when snorkeling and they took decent pictures.
Our hotel room had a safe which we used, as well.
It didn%26#39;t really seem possible to never leave anything in the car. Some things just can%26#39;t be taken into the water when you swim, snorkel, surf, etc.
Use lots of common sense and you should be good.
Thanks guys!
I am feeling a whole lot better!
I am so glad that Hanamau Bay has lockers!
Great tipz, thanks
Invest in a couple of Aquapacs - we use the Keymaster - avaiable at www.aquapac.com and maybe on Ebay. We each carry a credit card, license, and about $25-30. Everything else of any value stays at home.
