It is easy to take cabs in Waikiki.

But, maybe you can rent a wheelchair for the time you are on Oahu. There are some companies that deliver to your hotel room.

Duke%26#39;s is about 4 blocks from Outrigger Reef.

Thanks, hadn%26#39;t thought of renting a wheelchair.

AAA Discount Wheelchairs %26amp; Scooters (808)922-7400

Ace Medical (808)678-3600

Big Mountain Rentals (808)926-1644 This one is on Kuhio Ave in Waikiki.

Sometimes insurance will cover the cost of rentals. Check with your insurance company.

If none of the above work out, I rented a regular wheelchair for my mother at Apria Healthcare (808)485-0178. But this was in Pearl City where I lived at the time.

808 numbers are not toll free.

You can also get a free beach wheelchair at these beaches:

Also if you plan to drive, bring your handicap placard as Hawaii honors those from other states.

Thanks to all. I visited some of the sites and the info was just what I needed. My mind is at ease that she will be able to go anywhere we go.
