We are staying at the Sheraton Waikiki and getting a good rate using Starwood points. Do you guys think it is worth it to stay at the Moana Surfrider and paying an extra $100/night for 4 nights? Is the difference between the two properties worth an extra $400 for the 4 nights we%26#39;ll be in Honolulu? Thanks in advance for all replies.

I am just bumping this up since I saw this on the Maui boards as well. I hope someone helps. I don%26#39;t know much about Oahu to be giving advice but I would stay at the Sheraton Waikiki between those 2 choices.

I haven%26#39;t stayed at either, (we stay in between at the RH) but $400 seems like a lot of spending/dining money to me. If you have an ocean view on a high floor at the Sheraton, it is pretty amazing.
To me it is definitely worth it-we just returned from the Moana Surfrider-this was ou 5th.stay there. I just love the hotel,the lobby, the courtyard under the 150+ year old banyan tree,over looking the beautiful waikiki beach,drinking tropical drink-is worth the extra money-at least that is my take on it. We have stayed at the Royal Hawaiian,the Hyatt Regency, but I prefer this one over the others now.Whether or not you stay there or not,please go there,have a drink at the Beach Bar, or may be Kona Coffeee(?).Have a good time,
