Hotel Renew or Hawaii Prince?

We%26#39;re in Honolulu for 3 nights in August and can%26#39;t decide between these two hotels. Quite different I know, but both appeal for different reasons. Prince , for the views, bit quieter, near malls, and Hotel Renew for nice boutique feel, and all new rooms. Anyone got any thoughts? Are the rooms in the Prince very outdated? That might sway me?

Hotel Renew or Hawaii Prince?

I think you have about covered it.

Hawaii Prince is on the Ala Moana side of Waikiki. It is close to Ala Moana Shopping Center. About a 15-20 minute walk to the center of Waikiki. It overlooks Ala Wai Yacht Harbor. Closet beaches are a few minutes away, Ala Moana Beach %26amp; the beach at Hilton Hawaiian Village (Duke Kahanamoku Beach) %26amp; Ft DeRussy Beach.

Hotel Renew is about 1/2 block from the beach on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki. It is near Kapiolani Park. It is behind Resortquest Waikiki Beach Hotel. Its about 10 minutes to center of Waikiki.

If you want any sort of view at the Renew you%26#39;re going to have to pay extra for it. We had a lovely view of a parking garage.

We recently stayed on the fourth floor of the hotel renew, we too had a view of the parking garage, however we were very happy with the service provided. We stayed in a room with a comfortable queen size bed and a new flat screen tv and were very happy with the continental breakfast they served. I would stay here again for the right price and but I would not pay extra to have a balcony, as you cannot see anything but grey concrete while seated!
