We just purchased 4 nights there at $250 a night Ocean Front room. March 20-24. Should we be worried that it will not be open? Any recent reviews would be great. We are in Oahu for 16 nights and thought this resort looked beautiful and remote. We are also staying at the Pacific Beach for 7 nights. We have never been to Hawaii before. I hope we made the right hotel choices.
Turtle Bay Resort!!
One more thing we still have 4 nights open and we are not sure if we should pre book something or look around and decide where we want to stay. We are staying 4 nights TBR, 7 nights waikiki, 1 night close to airport(our flight arrives late)Any suggestions for the other 4 nights.
Thanks
Turtle Bay Resort!!
Oh, it will be open. The bankrupcy or delinquent loans or whatever will drag on forever.
I think the ads for this place look a lot better than actually being there. This is an OLD property that we thought needed thorough refurbishing (gutting) when we last stayed there 18 years ago.
The location is wonderful. I guess until the government decides what they will permit to be added there, the hotel will languish -- too many unknowns and overly ambitious plans that come to naught. It%26#39;s a shame because there is so little outside of Honolulu.
Wow! How did you get such a great price? Please do share or anyone else who may have some good tips. The price has increased this year and they now require 50% down. We love the TBR!!
As far as your question鈥?yes, prebook your other nights. You don鈥檛 want to spend your vacation looking for a pace to stay.
I purchased the room through expedia.ca. They were 247 a night Ocean front on a Whim. I have looked recentlty at the price and it is now 269 for the same dates. Thanks for the advice we did pre book rooms for the remaining days, 2 more at TBR.
You made good choices, ignore the Turtle Bay Bashers, it is a fabulous location. People try to compare it to the $700/night hotels in maui, it is not at that level but still a great place.
I need help! The price I keep getting for our stay in September is $370 which is the lowest!
Do you think I am getting this price because it is 7 months in advance and the price will drop as it gets closer?? Anyone?

i think the original poster is from canada and they put expedia.ca so maybe that is the problem the difference in currency and also that they are coming in march? maybe price will come down for you closer to sept.good luck we will be on oahu in sept. also, but we stay at the royal grove we liked it when we stayed there last year and price can%26#39;t be beat have looked at the north shore but only at ke iki beach bungalows turtle bay is way too much for us.
The price will most likely come down the closer you get to sept. I just put in some sept dates and ocean view was 295 through expedia. Try expedia.com
Does anyone know what the ocean is like at the resort in March (rough/calm/big waves)All the photos I%26#39;ve looked at make the beach look calm and great for my 5 year old. Not sure when most of the pictures were taken. Never been so I hope this isn%26#39;t a dumb question. Thanks
I%26#39;ve never been there in March but I imagine that their Bay located right next to the resort will be fine since it is very protected. Your child will love the little Kiddie pool and the pool slide!
You know there is a webcam on the hotel website so you can go and take a look for yourself and see how the waves are now.
