I was looking at some great pictures of this, and thought it would be great to check it out.
However i noticed its about a mile past where the road to Hana is closed. Is it possible to park at the road closure and walk a mile to the trail. Or is it not worth all the that?
alelele falls?
It depends on when you%26#39;re going first of all. The falls are often dry in the Spring and Summer. It depends on how much rain has fallen recently. I%26#39;m sure during most of the winter it%26#39;s actively flowing.
You should be able to park and walk over the barricade without any problems. Just heed any local signs and if it says NO Entry, then that%26#39;ll be the definitive answer. The footpath to the falls has likely grown over at the start with grass, so you%26#39;ll have to search for it I suspect. If the stream is flowing strong, you%26#39;ll probably want to avoid going any further too, as you do have to cross the stream to reach the falls.
It%26#39;s a lovely falls when flowing strong, but when it%26#39;s at a trickle or almost dry, it%26#39;s not worth the trouble.
alelele falls?
The reason for the road closure was the danger of rocks or boulders falling on people. While I am sure plenty of locals walk through the closed area on a daily basis as a necessity, it would not be any safer to walk the road than drive it. You probably already know this though.
yeah, but i guess safety is not always my main concern. especially when your young and invincible.
