We%26#39;re a group of 13 people plus one infant (6 months), and we%26#39;d like to all take a Na Pali Coast Boat Tour. Seems like the only boat accepting infants is Liko in Waimea, but we%26#39;d really like to depart from the North Shore. We prefer afternoon or sunset tours, and we%26#39;re also wondering if anyone has had any luck getting an infant on by doing a private charter. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.
North Shore Cruises Accepting Infants
Most have insurance restrictions of between 4 to 8 years.. No raft or zodiac will accept a child that tiny...you will need a large stable boat.

Why not hire a babysitter for the baby? We have used ';Happy Kids Kauai'; many times over the years and they have very professional, licensed child care providers. They will come to your house, condo or hotel room. I highly recommend them! We used another service year ago when my oldest son was 2 years old. He was left out in the sun (with sunscreen) too long. He got heat stroke. This sitter was recommended by a local hotel in Poipu. So I%26#39;m very picky now and Happy Kids Kauai has been great!

I agree with Martik. I just wouldn%26#39;t want an infant on those boats even if they said it was OK. Too rough.
The boats out of the NS don%26#39;t leave until May. I%26#39;m not sure when you are planning on going.
We%26#39;re going to be there in April. I think we%26#39;ve decided to do the boat without the infant. Sounds like there%26#39;s too many risks involved. Better safe than sorry. Thanks for all of your feedback!
Wow, first thing I though was not to take a 6 month old on a Na Pali Coast tour.
This summer we will be taking a 4 year old, and I%26#39;m not sure if we can find a sunset sail, for a couple hours, that allows anyone that age in the catamaran. We%26#39;re looking in the Poipu area. She has boated to Catalina Island on a private boat, but I don%26#39;t know if they allow one that age on tour boats.
There is a sunset cruise in Poipu out of the small boat harbor. We took my son when he was 2 1/2 years old and he loved it. I think the sunset cruise in Poipu was Captain Andy%26#39;s. We tried to take them a few years ago on a Napali trip and the minimum age was 6, I think? Anyway, I was a bit put off at first so we got a babysitter for the kids (Happy Kids of Kauai) and I%26#39;m really glad we did! I would have a very nervous mom on that trip, even with our frequent trips to/from Catalina from Long Beach.
