Hi everyone,
I am divided to which one of those hotels I wish to stay, I read the reviews about both and the ResortQuest has won 4.5 out of 5 %26amp; Sheraton 3.5 out of 5. I want a hotel that has a clean bathroom, shower %26amp; bedroom, comfy beds and hopefully not much noise at night time, but at same time walking distance to shops, restaurants, Waikiki beach. Is the RQWC walking distance to those amenities? What I like about Sheraton is the location and pool, but how does it compare to RQWC%26#39;s review rate? And is it too noisy being so central?? Sorry, so many questions... My 2 girlfriends are staying at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, but I am doing a longer trip before getting to Hawaii, so I don%26#39;t want to spend that much. Oh, and I am with my hubby who is not fussy as to where we stay. Can guests from one hotel use the amenities of a different hotel?
Sheraton Princess v ResortQuest Waikiki Circle
hi
have not stayed at either but did look into staying at the waikiki circle it is directly across from waikiki beach so it is on kalakaua ave.there are no other hotels in front of it on the beach side. if you keep your lanai door open at night you will hear some noise but you can close door and use air con.it does not have a pool and the rooms are small and i%26#39;m pretty sure they only have 2 double beds in the rooms which i thought was a little strange.both hotels are walking distance to shops and restaurants.we ended up at the royal grove because the price can%26#39;t be beat, but would have probably stayed at the circle just to be able to sit out on the lanai and see the ocean and who needs a pool with waikiki beach right there the royal grove has a
pool and we did%26#39;nt even use it.good luck planning and deciding

Sheraton Princess v ResortQuest Waikiki Circle
I haven%26#39;t stayed at either hotel, but I have had friends stay at the Waikiki Circle while I was there and when I picked them up from their hotel, I thought it was nice enough. It has a much nicer location than the Princess Kaiulani and it is smaller. If you are with your friends at the Outrigger no one will bother you about using the facilities.
I stayed at the Beach Tower right behind the Circle. The location is great, but I will say that the rooms at the back of the hotel stare right into the Beach Tower. I mean, we were at the hotel%26#39;s pool, and we could see people coming and going out of their room (which seemed tiny, btw). They had to close their curtain for privacy. If they were outside we could have easily spoken to them, it was that close together. So, if you are staying there, make sure you are on the ocean side. It is noisy in that area at night, if the doors are open - lots of street noise.
Can%26#39;t help you with the other hotel, just thought I%26#39;d share my observations about the WC Hotel.

i stayed at the sheraton princess kaiulani for 7 nites. i had a good time, but i knew i was not getting a 5 star hotel. it is centrally located and a nice restaurant on the block for some jamming loco mocos!
it%26#39;s a nice little hotel. i was going to stay there again this year but i decided to spoil myself w/ the outrigger w on the bch.
Hi everyone, thank you so much for your input!! Really appreciated, I think i will go on and book RQWC,once I have confirmation of my flights! Oh, it%26#39;s getting so close, I can%26#39;t wait!
Hi,
I have stayed in both. Having worked in the travel industry, I have had a chance to see a few hotels.
I stayed at the Circle last year and hated it. I was only there for 2 nights. Rooms were very small and so was the bathroom. It was quite noisy as you can hear people from across the beach late at night. i also didnt feel very comfortable there, old corridors and nosiy. I stayed at the Princess K about 5 years ago and from what I recall it was very clean and fine. I do know that now out the front of the hotel on the side street side there are street girls that hang around there. I am going to hawaii in June to get married and are staying at the Ohana Beachcomber and then at the Moana for my wedding etc.
Good luck with your search.
With any hotel your enjoyment, comfort and satisfaction depends on the location and cost the room. We have been going to Hawaii about twice a year for some time and usually stay at the Sheraton Princess for two weeks each time.
Friendly and helpful staff, with a great pool and free entertainment each evening. Rooms are always very clean.
Noisy if your room overlooks the side street as all the buses start arriving at the hotel, (and all the other hotels in the side street opposite) very early each morning and domestic trucks unloading supplies arrive even earlier, so check the room location.
We have been upgraded a few times - a definte plus!!
The advantageof Princess K. is being able to use the Sheraton Surfrider and other Sheraton hotel facilities, pools, etc and book up meals to our room, plus being able to walk across the street to the beach.
We met some people who always stay at the Circle which they praised,as they request and get a room directly across from the beach each time they visit. Hope you have a great time in Hawaii.
