I%26#39;m referring to Blue Pool, or Blue Angel Falls.

4 years ago we drove the road to hana, and will be doing so again in a week.
Out of everything we seen that day, blue pool was our favorite, no problems at all.
I know this is probably an old subject discussed a hundred times, but has anyone been there recently?
Here is another link i found, whoever wrote this makes a really good point about the situation at blue pool.

Unpopular with the locals, popular on hawaii websites
I agree with what the author in world-of-waterfalls says. I would agree that some of the locals would do well by allowing paid tours access to this site and keep it off-limits to the rest.

This falls is KAPU, and it%26#39;s unfortunate so many websites still provide inaccurate information. The falls is never even referred to correctly (or at least by both names - true and %26#39;visitor%26#39; common). The name of the falls is actually Helele‘ike‘oha Falls.

Well I see at least a few of those sites have posted warnings finally. I know one of the residents at the end of the road, I met them back before the falls became known to the masses.
The real issue is bigger than just the private property concerns. It%26#39;s that some of their neighbors are charging for parking, as if they have authority to then send people over private property to the falls. That%26#39;s like my neighbor charging for parking at his house, and telling folks the falls in my backyard is now accessible. One can see why that%26#39;s frustrating.
There are so many other great falls on Maui. Why annoy the residents at this falls, trespass, and get wrapped up in the controversy? Just enjoy one of the many other public falls along the Highway.
Is this the one with the grouchy old guy with a bat who chases everbody off?
I don%26#39;t like to be called grouchy! Please respect the Caddy.
Seriously, there are so many other places/things to do. Why do you need to go here (literally).
Aloha.
