Hello, Just wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be better to plan a trip to Maui for January, or the beginning of June. Thanks so much!
Better Time to Visit Maui
you are from nyc and its cold there in january so its better to visit maui in january
Better Time to Visit Maui
Winter means the whales are here in the waters around Hawaii. There will be fewer families with children because school is in session on the mainland.
However, June is a beautiful month, and rates will be lower by about 20% between March 1 and December 21.
We come in February to escape at least some of the winter in Chicagoland. Many people come for that reason, so if you want January don%26#39;t wait to reserve your lodgings.
I would look at a trip planner and see the Historical weather patterns for when your interested. www.weatherunderground.com has that feature, and you can look back about 5 years and see what any particular days weather was like.
I wish I had done this when we went to the Dominican Republic in January because I would have waited a few more months, because the average temps for that time of year was not hot enough for me. Too many cloudy, wet days as well. It is still Winter in January, no matter where you go unless your going way way down South.
I was in Hawaii in June of 06, and it was so so beautiful. I have been other times of the year as well, but that June was the best. April, May were really nice too.
I hope FEb and March are as nice.
Getting away from NY winter weather is nice, but remember that our winter can be cool, and this year it%26#39;s been quite rainy and blustery. We%26#39;ve had some very nice days, but January was fairly bad.
I can%26#39;t imagine missing the whale show in Maui, if you have the option of going during the winter. The whale season peaks in late February, but you%26#39;ll see plenty in Jan. Sure it%26#39;s warmer in June, but it%26#39;s warm at home by then. You can get some good deals on airfare, cars, resorts in Jan, which is slower than June.
I%26#39;d rather go at the very beginning of June because the weather is almost guaranteed to be good, there aren%26#39;t big crowds to deal with (as long as you go before kids are out of school), the prices are cheaper and you can reserve things 3 months in advance instead of a year in advance in order to get a good place.
