I have seen Whale watching season as until April or May. In Mid-April do we have a chance to see whales?
Whales in April?
It%26#39;s possible, but unlikely.
Whales in April?
Whale watching in early-to-mid April... a slim maybe, but by late April and May the whales should be long gone to their summer feeding grounds in Alaska. I understand that late Dec. to late March are the best weeks to see the Humpbacks in Hawaii.
My wife saw some whales splashing offshore at Lawai beach one afternoon in mid-March of 2005, saying the beach crowd oooh%26#39;d %26amp; aaawh%26#39;d with each leap... and she didn%26#39;t come up to our Prince Kuhio condo to wake me up for the 15-20 min. show! I missed it as I was napping after my morning ';Whale watch %26amp; snorkel cruise,'; where I%26#39;d seen a Humpback dorsal fin but no breaching %26amp; splashing (she said something like ';you snooze, you lose';... ouch!{:-)
We saw a few whales during our trip in late April/early May 2005. They%26#39;re mostly gone by then but there%26#39;s still a chance to see a few.
Brown-WOW that is harsh...but I probably would have done the same
I will keep my eyes peeled to the Ocean even if the chances are remote. When we are in Destin , FL I am usually the first to spot the dolphins and when we where in Bodega Bsy, CA we went to a cliff where people whale watch. Folks had been there for hours with no luck. As soon as we looked out, there they were! They were very very far away, but maybe I have whale luck
