My husband and I are staying in Lihue this week (Marriott) and rather than try to get into a restaurant on Valentine%26#39;s Day, we decided it%26#39;d be nice to get some good carry-out, a bottle of wine, and dine on our balcony. Anybody have any suggestions where we can stop by this evening to pick up dinner? Mahalo!
Good Carry-out in Lihue?
Call down to Portofino and ask if they%26#39;ll do take out. Or any of the restaurants across the street. At least your food has a chance of being warm once you get it back to the room.
Good Carry-out in Lihue?
Or do the opposite and get sushi from Kintaro and poke from Fish Express and keep everything cool until you get to your room.
Costco wine selection, Costco BBQ chicken and/or ribs, Costco sushi tray, Costco prepared salads, Costco New York cheese cake, Costco this and that!
Otherwise, the Barefoot Bar under Duke%26#39;s. Fish Express on Kuhio Hwy in Lihue or Star Market deli in Kukui Grove Shopping Center each about 10 minutes from Lihue Marriott.
But, I am thinking you will not have much of a problem getting seated in restaurants at Anchor Cove or the Harbor surrounding the Marriott with the exception of Duke%26#39;s upstairs.
hey what is Fish Express/.

Fish Express is a freah fish market on the main highway in Lihue...Mauak side between Hilo Hatties and Wallmart.
Gotta tell you , The huli huli ( rotissary ) chicken is absolutely fantastic. The have the same type of chicken at Star Market ( kikui grove), along with a deli section, and a pretty great wine section.
Only a five minute drive from you up Nawiliwili Rd.
You can head back to your balcony and just enjoy the evening without any thundering herds.
That sounds pretty darned nice.

It may sound crazy, but the first night of our honeymoon my lovely wife and I went to Hamura%26#39;s Saimin. It was one of the most memorable meals/experiences we%26#39;ve ever had. And we took a slice of their heavenly Lilikoi pie back to the condo. That was a priceless moment. We%26#39;re weird.
everyone raves about dukes, are you at the Lihue Marriott? if so just pick it up at the bar, get a bottle of wine from costco
Thanks for the great suggestions! We%26#39;re looking forward to a nice relaxing night now. Oh, and we did Hamura%26#39;s Saimin for lunch today....YUM.
OK no longer Valentines Day, but try L%26amp;L BBQ. It is a sort of greasy spoon to-go place but we really enjoyed the food. Good prices and good food.
