Hello,
Po%26#39;olenalena beach was reccomened to us as a more private option than Makena beach for a sunset wedding. We are getting married Monday evening feb 25th and it will be our first time in Maui. Has anyone used Po%26#39;olenalena? Any other suggestions??
Thanks!

We just returned from Maui and tho%26#39; we didn%26#39;t see any weddings, we did see flowers left on the sand from one at Po%26#39;olenalena. It is a lovely beach, and wide enough that you should find a few options for your ceremony%26#39;s setting. We used to go to Makena Beach a lot (in front of the Maui Prince Hotel), but were disappointed this year as there was noisy construction right next to the beach and the approach to the beach isn%26#39;t as ';nice'; as it was when we were there previous years. We used to see weddings in the park right next to Makena (on a slight hill overlooking the beach), but you wouldn%26#39;t want to get married there now. (my opinion, anyway)

Po%26#39;olenalena beach was our favorite while on Maui, although we liked it for the boogie boarding. It was typically very quiet, and as the previous poster said, it%26#39;s large so you%26#39;ve got options. And there are nice outcroppings running the length of the beach. Congrats and good luck!
my wife and i were married on po%26#39;olenalena beach 4/24/07 a sunset wedding,EVERYTHING went perfect, stunning sunset views, great beach, very few anywhere on the beach near sunset.you can not do better with that selection as your sunset wedding beach of choice.
previous post was supposed to read,';very few PEOPLE anywhere on the beach at sunset';.
