Pearl Harbor tour question

We are going to take the NCL excursion for our last day in Hawaii to Peral Harbor. I believe it is a bus . Our question is what does one do with thier bags , back packs , camera cases, and purse ? As I understand it there are no bags permitted in the Pearl Harbor area. Has anyone experienced this or could some locals give us advice. It is our assumption that NCL will hold our luggage , but we are unsure of the rest of our carryons etc. Thanks

Pearl Harbor tour question

I suggest you call NCL; they can tell you what they will do; it may be that all your luggage will go on the tour bus with you, then take you to the airport. I%26#39;d call NCL or your travel agent rather than assume anything.

Pearl Harbor tour question

What a novel idea !! Ask someone who has responsibility for the area in question, instead of asking a bunch of strangers on a forum, who will give conflicting and meaninless answers anyway !!

You can check bags at USS Arizona Memorial. It costs about $3 each.

';You can check bags at USS Arizona Memorial'; for $3 - but that won%26#39;t be necessary if NCL provides security. ASK NCL if they provide security !!!

Thanks for the replies , and yes calling NCL is a great idea . When ever we take a trip as such , we seek others informative ideas from thier experiences . We are of the age where we are able to disregard ';meaningless'; responses. Thanks to all the positive respones.

The problem with contacting NCL is that you are probably not going to be able to talk directly with anyone that is involved with the excursion %26amp; therefore cannot give you good answers to your questions. Or they will give you a wrong answer.

You will be able to leave your luggage on the ship or in a secure area near the ship. Some of your carry-ons can stay there also.

But, it is likely that the bus is a Roberts Hawaii or a different company bus that will drop you off at USS Arizona Memorial %26amp; then go to Waikiki to pick up other passengers. Because the time at USS Arizona Memorial is about 3 hours, they are not likely to remain at USS Arizona parking lot.

Just plan on checking any of your carry-ons on the tour at the luggage area at USS Arizona Memorial.

If the bus stays at the parking lot %26amp; is secured, then so be it. You%26#39;ll save a few bucks. Ask the bus driver when you get on the tour.

BTW

I went to St. Cloud State University %26amp; lived in St. Cloud for 12 years in 80%26#39;s %26amp; 90%26#39;s. Worked at the VA there.

Thanks Dusty . In a way your lucky not to be living here now , well, I%26#39;m sure it was like this when you were here. It has been kind of a tough winter. Cold and snow . We are lacking in our over all snow amount, but we have had our share of below 0 temps. The coldest so far has been -20 . We have never been to Hawaii . Thought the cruise ship would be a way to get a good flavor of the islands . It may not be a true test , but one we chose. To get away for winter , even for a week , is okay by us. Pearl Harbor has been a ';should we , or should%26#39;nt we '; decision . Some of our friends are for and some are against spending the time to visit this historic part of American history. We feel a trip to Hawaii would not be complete without it.
