Best Wailea condo w/ toddler?

I%26#39;d appreciate thoughts on the nicest condos to stay at w/ our 2yr old. Any thoughts on the Elua and Ekahi? Also, any recommended beaches? I%26#39;m not familiar with Wailea at all. Thanks!

Best Wailea condo w/ toddler?

Both Elua and Ekahi are great for a toddler especially if you have a ground floor condo. Elua is closer to the hotels and shops in Wailea so you could walk with your toddler in a stroller to all of these places. If you are going to stay at Elua, make sure you get a condo away from the construction at the hotel beside it. No problem on the far side of the property with noise or dirt and Elua is a nicer property than Ekahi. Try using an agency that will tell you a specific condo number like Villas of Hawaii and I would stay away from the vrbo if you are going to need maid service or any assistance like cribs, etc. All of the beaches in Wailea are great for kids.

Best Wailea condo w/ toddler?

We just finished a take day vacation at the Wailea Elua with our one and a half year old. We rented Unit #1104 through Ali%26#39;i Resorts ( btw, being on the second floor was no problem with a toddler). We had a wonderful time, the property is beach front and right on the paved path (aka good for strollers) that goes all along the posh resorts to the south.

Ali%26#39;i Resorts was very good to work with, super friendly, the housekeeping service was great. Ali%26#39;i also has pictures of all of thier condos online.

We saw some families when we were there, but the general population seemed to be a bit older. They have some strict rules (no Marco Polo, quiet time from 4-6 at the lower pool, no BBQ%26#39;ing until 5pm) but it really wasn%26#39;t a big deal.

I would stay away from the condos at the back of the property, they are right on a nosiy road. We had no issues with construction noise from the old Renaissance, but that might be different later on.

As for Ekahi, we almost chose that property, but are happy we choose elua. Ekahi is HUGE and there is little beach access. You could be hiking down to teh beach depending on your location.

The beach right out front was great (ulua), and we also went to big beach for a day and would have liked to have gone back everyday!

Feel free to get in touch if you have any other questions!

Wailea Beach is fine with a toddler, but you do have to be careful. There can be a bit of an undertow. Nothing major like at Big Beach, but I wouldn%26#39;t allow your child to go in the water alone. The beach itself is large and very well maintained.

we have stayed at both Elua and Ekahi Villages. They are both excellent with beautifully kept grounds. Elua Village is located on Ulua Beach which is great for kids but the units are a little more pricey. We liked Ekahi Village just as much and it%26#39;s on Keewakapoo Beach which is fabulous. The complexes are both on a hillside so some units can be wuite a hike to get to.

Try Mauiownercondos.com for rentals by owner, I highly recommend the website. You can view the interiors of the units and pick what you like. Then you know what you are getting.

Also nice and beachfront: Polo Beach Club and Makena Surf at Wailea; and Hale Pau Hana at Kamaole.

We stayed at the Wailea Beach Villas are wonderful, but they are expensive (we booked privately through vrbo.com)

We were travelling with our 4 year old and eighty year old mother. This place is unbelievable, the ';kids'; pool is great it is divided into two parts the deeper end is up to 4 feet but the shallow pool is about 1 foot deep, so great for little ones. There was hardly ever anyone at the pool, it was so quiet, tons of shade as well. The villas are spacious and five star, two sub zero fridges, huge outdoor lanais with top of the line barbeques. My mother has a trouble walking and the staff was always available in their golf carts to take her to the pool or beach. On night a child wandered away from his parents and security had a full search started within minutes, and the child was found quickly, this staff cares!
