I don%26#39;t know if Kauai is on Daylights savings time or what. I was wondering about what time is sunset in mid April? I was hoping to be able to see something as we fly in.

One thing about sunset in the islands.........it goes down quickly. There is not a lot of dusk, it falls to the horizon and disappears quickly, so be prepared with the cameras.

At Poipu you can see sunrise and sunset. we were there a week in Oct we watched every every sunrise from our lanai each morn. Had to walk a bit to see sunset but saw at least four of those.

By April, Daylight savings time should be in affect. So there should be 5 hours difference between Central and Hawaiian time. Correct?

Probably. I didn%26#39;t check. The difference between Central Standard and Hawaii Standard doesn%26#39;t change. If daylight savings is in effect in the Central time zone, then the difference is actually 5 hours.

Daylight Savings Time starts March 9th this year.
